Build Protection

This is one of the military orders players may issue from a nation.

To build protection, you need to spend all 5 resources. With a payment of 25 of each resource, you can get 10 levels of protection when the town center is at level 1 in that nation. The price will increase as the town center level increases.

Each time the town center level is increased, the protection level in that nation is reduced by 50%.

If you attack a nation that has protection, the protection is reduced by the attack, but the loss of attacking troops is increased. The base level is twice the town center level in the defending nation.

What this means is that if the enemy attacks with 2 troops, the defending nation will lose 1 point of protection and both troops will die.


Here are some examples to help explain protection:

If the defending nation has 100 points of protection (town center is level 1), and the attacker sends in 200 troops, then those 200 troops will die and the defending nation will have no protection.

If the defending nation has 100 points of protection (town center is level 1), and the attacker sends in 500 troops, then the first 200 troops will die and the defending nation will have no protection and have to deal with the incoming 300 troops.

If the defending nation has 100 points of protection (town center is level 2), and the attacker sends in 500 troops, then the first 400 troops will die and the defending nation will have no protection and have to deal with the incoming 100 troops.

If the defending nation has 100 points of protection (town center is level 3), and the attacker sends in 500 troops, then all 500 troops will die, and the defending nation will still have about 17 protection left.

Nations may not build any protection within 10 minutes of a recent attack in which a building took damage.
