Towers
Towers are points of interest on the world map that once captured provide the controlling team with an empire bonus.
Towers are currently represented by large rocks on the world map that comprise an area of 3 by 3 tiles.

In order to capture a tower, players need to occupy each tile surrounding the tower with nations all of the same team color.
There are 16 tiles that surround a tower.

The server will check at the top of each hour to see the status of each tower in the game.
If a tower is surrounded by nations that are all on the same team, then that team will be considered the controlling team and every empire on that team will receive an empire buff that will last for 1 hour.
If even a single tile that surrounds a tower is either unoccupied or occupied by an opposing team, then the tower will revert back to a non-controlled state.
Once a tower is captured, it is owned for the next hour (60 minutes) regardless of the nation status surrounding the tower.
The server checks the tower status once an hour. Example times are 3:00 a.m., 4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m. and so on.
The bonuses provided by the towers on the map are as follows:
+50% output to farms, +50% output to lumberyards, +50% output to stoneworkers, +50% output to metalworks.
To gain a particular empire buff, a team will need to control the corresponding tower.

The bonuses provided by owning a tower are cumulative, which means if a team owns more than one tower, their bonuses will be added together.
Players are encouraged to work as a team to capture towers as well as interfere with opposing teams from capturing their own towers.
A team must control a tower to be eligible to capture the Wonder.
